From the fundamentals to a real project.

Program area 1 of 10

Foundations

Getting comfortable with the computer, files, the internet and the way developers work.

What you can expect to encounter
  • Using a computer confidently for development work
  • How the internet and software actually work
  • Setting up your tools and workspace
  • Thinking in steps: how to break a problem down

These are program areas, not a day-by-day syllabus. The exact sequence of topics is to be determined by SHARIF TECHNOLOGIES.

The live practical model

This is not a self-paced course.

FORGE30 is built around live participation. There are no recorded lessons provided as a substitute for attendance and no “learn whenever you have time” model.

If you join, you commit: a daily two-hour session for the full 30 days.

PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS

Participants are expected to attend their assigned sessions consistently. Unnecessary absence may result in dismissal. Misconduct, serious indiscipline, disruption, disrespect or deliberate violation of program rules may result in dismissal.

How will we learn?

You tell us your preference. SHARIF TECHNOLOGIES decides.

Your class time and the delivery arrangement are assigned by SHARIF TECHNOLOGIES after applications close.

May involve additional logistical costs. Venue to be determined by SHARIF TECHNOLOGIES.

The final arrangement (remote, in person or a combination) and your class time are assigned by SHARIF TECHNOLOGIES after applications close. We do not promise that every option will be available.

The final project

Don’t just learn. Build something that matters to you.

Start thinking about a software idea you genuinely care about. After you apply, you build your project proposal piece by piece in your student dashboard, all the way to Day 30.

Step 1 of 6: Problem

Start with something real.

What annoys you or the people around you? Where do people waste time, money or effort?

Think of it like thisExample: “Small shops in my area lose track of who owes them money.”
Project budget, not a training fee

Applicants should be prepared to arrange approximately GH₵500 for their project-development needs. It is not a payment to join, and we cannot guarantee it will be sufficient for every project. An in-person arrangement may also involve additional logistical costs; the application asks about them for planning only.

Day 30

Show what you built.

You submit a completed project package and present it. This is the culmination of the 30 days.

Not every project becomes a commercial product; the goal is practical experience and something real. A certificate of completion is associated with successfully completing the program requirements, and is never automatic.

Tap each item as you imagine yourself ready to explain it. 0 of 9 prepared.

Questions

Straight answers.

FORGE30 is not advertised as a free course and there is no fixed course fee published at this time. Two things are separate from any course fee: an in-person arrangement may involve additional logistical costs, and you should be prepared to arrange approximately GH₵500 for your own project-development needs. Anything further is determined by SHARIF TECHNOLOGIES and will be communicated clearly.

No. A committed beginner can start from zero programming knowledge. What you need is the ability to show up, practise and keep going.

No. FORGE30 is live and instructor-led. Recorded lessons are not provided as a substitute for attendance, and there is no self-paced version. Unnecessary absence may result in dismissal.

No. You may tell us your general availability and preferred format in the application, but they are not reservations. Your class time and the delivery arrangement are assigned by SHARIF TECHNOLOGIES after applications close.

There is no fixed deadline. Applications close when SHARIF TECHNOLOGIES is satisfied that enough applications have been received. The application page always shows whether applications are currently open.

No. Submitting is an application. Applications are reviewed, and submission does not guarantee selection. Confirmed participants get a student dashboard and a downloadable student card.

Certificates are associated with successful completion of the program requirements. They are not issued automatically because someone applied or registered. FORGE30 makes no claim of accreditation, government or university recognition, or employment.
